Margarett (Margo) DeGange is business and marketing strategist and professional instructional designer with a strong emphasis in the interior decorating, home fashions, professional speaking, and information marketing industries.
As a writer, speaker, and educator, Margo has been involved in many professional organizations to help business owners to increase sales and profits, and build successful lives. She is dedicated to helping her clients have more time, more joy, and make more money!
Margo earned both her Bachelor of Science and Masters of Education Degrees from Texas A&M University, where she studied Leadership and Communication with an emphasis in Business and Economics. She earned her Masters Degree from Texas A&M University in Adult Education and Instructional Design with additional studies in Distance Learning, Online Education, and Organizational Development. She is a Certified Human Behavior Coach through the Leadership Institute of America. She also holds a degree in Speech Communications.
Her design education includes studies in the science of color psychology and how color effects the brain and behavior, interior decorating, and the design and fabrication of home fashions, bedding, and window treatments. She is a WCAA Certified Window Treatment Consultant, a Window Fashions Certified Professional, a Dewey Color Consultant, and a DANA Certified Professional Decorator.
Margo’s contributions to her industries include serving as the National Director of Training and Education for the Window Coverings University, serving on the National Board of Directors and as the National Vice-President of the WCAA, Serving on the Advisory Board of We Make Color Easy, serving as the Executive Director of the Decorators’ Alliance of North America, serving as a Certified Instructor for the Dewey Color System and the WCU, being a member of the Inscape Publishing Network, and serving on numerous national and regional educational and marketing committees, forums, panels, and advisory posts.
In addition she has written countless articles for various trade and professional publications, as well as numerous books and educational programs in design, professional speaking, marketing, communication, business, and information marketing. She has also authored scores of business-building products. She is in demand as a writer, speaker, and coach, and her passion for personal and professional growth is truly contagious.
Margo has led keynotes, workshops, and programs for professionals in many market niches including interior decorating and design, home improvement, professional speaking, education, healthcare and wellness, the food and chef industries, and others. She has trained people from all over the world, yet she finds that the common thread to great success is an investment in your career, and a desire to create meaningful work that touches the lives of others and improves their quality of living in a measurable way.
Margo is the founder of the DeGangi Group, which includes Decorating for Profits, Mind Your Own Digital Business, DeGangi Publishing,The DeGangi School of Interior Decoration, D.E.C.-Design Education Curriculum, Let’s Talk About Decorating Pre-Made Seminars, The DeGangi Affiliate Program, and Women of Splendor (a non-profit personal growth and mentoring organization for women).
